What my friends are blogging about

For some other perspectives, check out the PEACE CORPS MALI blog site:

My mother especially enjoyed this new volunteers review on Malian cuisine:

Em,

I love the potato chip story. I was an amazing testament to the mission of the peace corps in giving people the opportunity to be agents of their own change. With the difficulties you have experienced it is all to easy to lose track of what an important impact you are making. Just think in several years if you travel back to your village to find a successful nutrition program.

I read your friends blog about Malian food. I love learning about different kinds of food around the world to incorporate into my own cooking. I am catering a couple family parties over the holidays but I seriously doubt I will be making any To.

The guy cousins and I are embattled in a mustache contest over this thanksgiving. I'll let you know who has the best lip blanket. (The best cookie duster gets the Selleck Memorial Trophy)

See you in a few months. Keep up the great work.

Em,

I am aware that you already know the devastating results of the Mustache contest. I just wanted to let you know that Lindsey put several pictures of all the staches on her facebook. I know if you had been there you would have voted for me.
